bulthaup auctioned off a work by Tischendorf for the benefit of ‚Children's Stroke Aid‘

bulthaup took part in the "BMW Art Advent Calendar" project for the first time in 2011.

In doing so, the company not only supported the young Dresden artist Ekkehard Tischendorf, but also the "Children Stroke Help" campaign, a foundation for affected children and families.
At least EUR 100,000 benefited the campaign through the joint commitment of the 24 partner companies. On December 7, bulthaup opened the seventh Advent calendar door on the outside of the BMW brand showcase on Lenbachplatz together with artist Ekkehard Tischendorf and artist sponsor Wolfgang Stumph.

As part of the subsequent culinary evening at bulthaup Munich - which was also attended by prominent guests - the "Star of Hope" work created jointly by Ekkehard Tischendorf and Wolfgang Stumph was auctioned off for the benefit of "Children's Stroke Aid" with a maximum bid of EUR 2,600. "Ekkehard Tischendorf and I met in Dresden, where we both live. At Tischendorf, I am inspired by his very own style of realism and abstraction.

With spray cans, stencils and lots of painting tools, we created the work "Star of Hope" together, which was auctioned yesterday in Munich," says Wolfgang Stumph, actor, cabaret artist and artist sponsor of Tischendorf.

"The art advent calendar offers us artists a unique platform to show our works to a broad public. At the same time, I am delighted that bulthaup is giving me the opportunity to exhibit my works in the bulthaup showrooms until January 7, 2012 and that yesterday's auction of 'Star of Hope' will help many children," said Ekkehard Tischendorf.
